Ellie Louise

on October 25, 2012

We are still waiting for a date for Ellie’s surgery. I am hopeful that we will hear something today.

Ellie continues to gain weight ~ she was 5 lbs 1 ounce yesterday ~ and grow stronger each day. She is opening her eyes more and waking up when she is hungry and really letting us know that she would like a meal!

Other positive things that she is doing include rooting around when she is hungry, sucking actively on her pacifier, looking around and focusing on objects and moving her arms and legs actively.

Brooke also is healing very well from her surgery and her bones look great. She has a few more weeks in her boot and then she will be free! We are so thankful for these answered prayers. It is a reminder that the Creator, our God ~ is faithful in all things and that all things are under His control.Psalm 33:4-11For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.
The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.
By the word of the Lord were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.
He gathers the waters of the sea into jars; he puts the deep into storehouses.
Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world revere him.
For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.
The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.

Will you please pray for us for the following today?

  • That our whole family could settle into a routine in all areas of our life ~ appointments, work, school, activities, church, social. That the Lord would give us wisdom in regard to anything that we need to weed out. That He would give us the time to do the things that He wants us to do.
  • We would welcome a break from doctors appointments ~  we would ask the Lord that we would not have any more sickness, injuries or medical issues for a while.
  • Please pray for Chris’s elbow to regain complete range of motion and that he would not require any further surgery.
  • For Ellie’s upcoming surgeries ~ that she would tolerate the surgeries excellently and have no problem coming off the vent and be ready to come home as soon as possible.
  • That I to be able to come back to church soon and that all of you would be able to meet her in person… even if it is at arms-length during flu season!
Hope that each of you has a great day –
Chris and Charlotte
